It’s that time again folks.

The time that, no matter how much lecturers try to front load their courses, all the projects, all the assignments and all the reports are due. The time that we are meant to use to study for exams.

It is, Ladies and Gentlemen, the time of Beards!

Once a year, for the last 2 or 3 years now, a few of my classmates and I have forgone the usual rituals of manhood for the sake of a greater good. A good so great, that there are no greatnesses which are more good.
The Beard Competition.

The idea is that with the amount of work that we have to do, and the amount of sleep that we won’t be getting, we will barely have time for personal hygiene as it is, let alone for shaving. So why not appeal to our competitive natures to aid us through our itchy-faced hardships and help us prove our manliness.

This competition runs for about 3 weeks up to our final day of exams (or in the case of this year, the day before our presentations), and a jury of our peers will judge our respective facial fur.

All types of growth are allowed.

I expect mine’ll turn out something along the lines of this
